I’m currently working on learning to use MODx and have run into a bit of a problem I’m sure someone here can help me with.
The problem is with the image not displaying in the document after I’ve selected an image from the "insert" menu. All I get when I preview in a browser is the link to the image. I’ve published the page too with the same results.
(hopefully) Useful information -
I know the file permission settings are correct.
I’m pretty sure the TV is set up correctly. (I’ve gotten other types of TVs to work)
I have the correct code in the template for the TV.
The TV shows up when I create or edit pages, and the insert menu for it works. It pops up, I select the image, the path is displayed in the field after I’m done.
I’m assuming I’m doing that right because I can do inline images in the content area no problem.
I’ve also tried using the default logo.png, as well as uploading my own .jpg and .gif files. I even tried using absolute links to other pictures I hosted elsewhere.
If any other information would be helpful, let me know.
Thanks guys, any help is greatly appreciated.
you need to use image Widget in your TV to display image.
Thanks for the reply. I actually figured it out a little bit ago, but that’s the exact solution I came up with.
Where is the image widget? I`m searching for it but everything is advanced gallery, all I want is to show a image?

Don’t forget when adding a Template Var of image input type, to add the image output widget as well.

I found that image widget its right down at the bottom of the page, the image in now showing in the page but I have a chunk for ditto and I`m trying to get it to appear but just get a blank image, it has the alt tag but no code for the image link.
