Right now I’m building a new site on my own machine using MAMP. I’ve figured out how to configure the htaccess, etc. to get YAMS up and running, and making a new page seems straightforward. My site is in a subfolder of MAMP’s root (htdocs) though. In other words, to get around my site right now you’d have to type in, for example:

    http://localhost(or my IP address)/subfolder/home.html

I’ve got Friendly URL aliases and Friendly URL alias paths to ’yes’. I made one multilingual template and one multilingual page to test, but if I just preview it from the Manager or try to navigate to it by typing in what I think should be the URL in the browser, it takes me to:

    http://localhost/en/…

So, it’s placing that root identifier outside of where my files actually are. I’m not tied to using the root name method, but I also don’t know what the best way to proceed would be to fix this. Ideas?

    Thanks!

P.S. YAMS is a great solution to multilingual btw. I’m new to modx for my CMS needs, and generally I’m finding modx to be one of the easiest implementations I’ve used for anything, really.

Please go to Modules>YAMS>"Other Params">"URL Formatting">"MODx Subdirectory" and set it to the name of your subdirectory; [tt]subfolder[/tt] in your example.

      Cheers.
