I’m using Firefox 1.5 on Mac for this installation. My webhost has this installed...

    Operating System Linux
    Apache Version 1.3.33 (Unix)
    Perl Version 5.8.0
    PHP Version 4.3.11
    MySQL Version 4.0.24-standard

I’ve just attempted to install MODx. Followed install documentation precisely. On the Connection Information page, clicked on Test Connection and then the "Testing Connection..." message displayed and never went away. I forged ahead and clicked next and left everything in the default checked positions. Clicked next again and got OK’s all the way through. Clicked on Install Now and it looked like I was good to go (no error messages and appeard that database was connected just fine according to installation notation).. Clicked on Close and tried to login as Admin and nothing happened. After several more attempts it locked me out.it told me the password or username was incorrect. Nonesnese...I double checked and I’m not entering incorrect info here.

Then I switched to Safari 2.0.3 and went to login and everything worked. I logged in successfully.

So seems there is a bug interacting with Firefox?

    Any ideas?

Strange. FF1.5 on Tiger. Install and logon went very smooth here...
