Dear all YAMS users.
YAMS now has
fairly comprehensive documentation on the MODx Confluence wiki. In the main part this is an updated version of the documentation that is in the YAMS module interface. In future versions of YAMS I plan to remove the Module documentation and instead link to the online documentation.
Many people have asked me about translated documentation in the past and several have offered their services as translators. The confluence Wiki provides an ideal way for people to contribute documentation in other languages. I have deliberately made the top level of the YAMS documentation tree be ’English’ so that other languages can be added alongside it.
To contribute to the documentation you will first need to
sign up for a JIRA account and then provide MODx with a
Contributor License Agreement, requesting access to Confluence.
I’ve tried to add ’How To..?’ pages for the most frequently asked questions on the forums. If anyone would like me to add any additional information that is either currently hidden away in the forums or simply non-existent, please let me know. If anyone would like to contribute documentation based on their own knowledge/experience please feel free to do so.
