Title field change chinese to ??

    I have 2 languages on my site. English and Chinese.
    When i add an title and menu title in the chinese tab and save it.
    Modx automatically changes the chinese characters to ?? (questionmarks)

    Is this an YAMS/ManagerManager problem?

      This is unlikely to be a YAMS/ManagerManager specific problem. I have been successfully been using them for Japanese for example. It sounds more like an encoding problem/inconsistency to me.

      What encodings\character sets are you using for:

      1. your mysql database
      2. your MODx Manager interface
      3. your browser?

        i think it’s because of the database.

        All the tables are:
        latin1_swedish_ci

        ***
        i am changing it now to utf8.
        A lot of work...:(
