    Hi there

I’m completely new to Modx and have a quick question. Does the CMS’s search engine have the ability to search keywords and custom fields? Is there a way to do this if this function is not available?

For example, if an article has keywords "Blue" and "Purple" associated with it, if someone does a search for "Blue" or "Purple" (and say that the words "Blue" and "Purple" don’t actually appear in the page’s text) the search results display that particular article.

Is it also possible to search by author and date?

    I hope this is clear.

    Cheers

    Mark

      Yes, perfectly clear Mark smiley

There is a modified version of FlexSearchForm snippet which allows for search based on TVs (custom field). It’s called FlexSearchFormTVars

The keyword searching is not yet implemented but is an annouced feature of the ListRelated snippet which is bundled with MODx. It already allows you to display a list of item based on keyword(s).

      I hope it helps !
