I’ve decided to skip version numbering 1.5.1 and jump to 2.0 for the next version number.
Why? I did some intensive recoding to take care of the recurring issue of different scenario’s of snippet+placeholder nesting and order..
PHx 2.0 will be faster, smarter and more MODx attuned. Nothing will change on the user side of things, nor on the developer side it’s purely upgraded on how it’s working together with MODx. PHx sits on top of the MODx document parser and takes over the tag detection (allows for the recursion/nesting and the PHx modifiers), it does not handle execution of the tags (these are all passed to the MODx document parser, i did not recreate any function of the MODx parser)
To summarize:
- 2.0 will be release later today or tomorrow
- 2.0 will process faster (lousy ms, but still worth mentioning)
- 2.0 will take over MODx tag detection but doesn’t replace the MODx parser, it only extends it to use modifiers and the conditionals
- 2.0 can log (when enabled) to the event manager every action it performs so specific information about the replacement steps per page is available (use it only for debugging your template problems)

don’t you get redirected? it’s normal that FirstChildRedirect returns nothing.

In stead of the redirection we got a blank / empty page.
