When you "create resource here" under a container whose documents would normally have MM doing its magic, the initial view is just the default view (MM rules not taking effect). After the document is saved, the MM rules take effect. Is it possible for them to take effect before the document is saved???

can’t reproduce this, it’s working as expected for me with MODx 1.0.4. maybe check your set of rules again?
