Hello esszett,
did you place the Doc Finder folder "docfinder" correctly in "assets/modules"? If yes please post the error message here, so I can have a closer look.
Thanks,
Bogdan

Hello Bodgan,
thank you for your reply. Yes, the folderpath is "assets/modules/docfinder/". I tried the same files and config on my webhosting service, no error there.
But on my local machine I get:
Warning: include(/Users/sz/Sites/MODx10x/www/assets/modules/docfinder/index.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /Users/sz/Sites/MODx10x/www/manager/processors/execute_module.processor.php(114) : eval()’d code on line 2
Warning: include(): Failed opening ’/Users/sz/Sites/MODx10x/www/assets/modules/docfinder/index.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.:/usr/local/zend/share/ZendFramework/library:/usr/local/zend/share/pear:/Users/sz/Sites/MODx10x/www/manager/includes/’) in /Users/sz/Sites/MODx10x/www/manager/processors/execute_module.processor.php(114) : eval()’d code on line 2
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Hello esszett,
yes, I do have a suggestion:
failed to open stream: Permission denied
Please set the permissions of the Doc Finder folder so that the PHP process is allowed to read the files

Thank you for wonderful module.
I experimentally used it.
However, I think that default setting of General options is very dangerous for beginner.
I replace from "MODx" to "MODx" and broke the system... :’(
As for this fatal mistake, restoration is very difficult(nearly Impossible).
Replace Example: $modx ---> $MODx, MODX_BASE_URL ---> MODx_BASE_URL
I want below default settings.
・Search places is only document (or with chunk?).
・case_sensitive option to be turned ON.
・General options is not memorized.(Because operativeness worsens to this, the judgment is required. )

Dear Sama,
thanks for your feedback on my Doc Finder Module. I am sorry, that you broke your system while using it. I would definitely consider you suggestions, however I am not developing the Doc Finder Module any further. Version 1.6 will be the last version I have published. Therefore I hope you can still use this version of Doc Finder for pro-users in you MODx installations.
Best regards,
Bogdan

Running 1.6. Can’t get it to find pathnames with a space in the name (i.e. "assets/images/WM Directors"). It will find everything up to the space but as soon as I put the space in, no go. I’ve tried using %20, no luck either. Anything I might be doing wrong?

That is very strange. Searching strings containing a blank should not be a problem. I have just tried to reproduce the error you described, but it works perfectly. Please login in here:
http://docfinder.trymodx.com/manager/
User: demo_user
Password: demo_user
And search for
assets/images/WM Directors in Doc Finder. It is properly found.

Works great, ignore me. Another administrator had made changes without me knowing so the string didn’t exist to begin with except in a cached page I was viewing. Damn cache. All good now, thx.

Any chance you’ll be porting this for Revo? I use this puppy regularly on all my Evo sites but haven’t seen anything comparable for Revo. Any hope there? It’s really good work, and very useful, many thanks.
