How to disable event log?

Hi,
I was wondering if it’s possible to disable event log in modx? My event_log database gets to 200Mb in a week and it would be great to do something about it. I don’t use event log anyway.

You would have to hack the core scripts to stop it. Wouldn’t it be better to fix whatever is causing the log to fill up?
