    Hello;
    This is my first post, im seriously considering Modx Evolution for building websites.
    I’ve studied the structure and liked it a lot.

    One of the first things i’ve checked was the Manager Customization and look very good and simple with ManagerManager
    One thing i couldn’t find some documentation its about this topic:

    Grouping Templates Variables.
    Is it possible to order the Templates Variables in Groups, so they are more easy to understand when a user is adding content? When you have lots of TVs in a template can get very confusing. I’m happy with our current custom CMS in this particular aspect and would like to replicate this behavior in Modx. I really like the philosophy behind MODx, about keeping things simple, yet allowing to extend things in our way.

    I found how to create a separate Tab and send some fields and tvs with ManagerManager, but.. can we make Groups of Tvs?
    We already categorize the TVs in categories when creating them, if i can display them grouped by category that would be helpfull.

    Please, point me in the right direction.
    Regards,

    Here’s an example of what i would like to do:

        Thanks Bruno;

        It worked good!
        Needed to install also the Categories Manager so i can be able to reorder the groups. Very happy with the results. Thanks a lot.

        Only issue with this plugin is it adds some ugly table style to the first part of the document fields.

        Should look like this:

        Maybe there’s some css out of herarchy after the plugin changes the structure of the page.
        I think i can fix it adding some .css

        Again, thanks a lot for the fast reply.
        Community support is one the most important things with open source. Really appreciated.

          Did a little research about this little visual issue.
          Is just affecting Chrome for now... just added this rule in manager/media/styles/MODxCarbon/style.css wich is the default manager template for the manager in evo 1.0.2

          table.fields {border-collapse:collapse; border:#fff 1px solid;}

          I think this Snippet and the Categories Manager Module are must have additions to the core.
          That way its easier to understand the power of modx from start. Thanks a lot again for the help.

            Would you file that as a suggested improvement using the Jira link at the top of this page so it doesn’t fall through the cracks?
