I think I found a bug, but can somebody check to make sure it’s not something just on my server?
MP3s are not uploadable (erroring after upload: "Disallowed file type"), even though they are under the "Uploadable Filetypes" in the system settings by default.
To fix this, I edited the file /manager/media/browser/mcpuk/connectors/php/config.php and added "mp3" to the end of line 118.
The file that contains the "Disallowed file type" error is /manager/media/browser/mcpuk/connectors/php/Commands/FileUpload.php
Apparently the Uploadable Filetypes in the system settings doesn’t actually do anything? I’m using 0.9.1, pretty standard installation, no core hacks or anything.
I’ll put this in the bugtracker, yes? I wanted to get feedback first, just in case it’s a server config/php issue, and to put a post in the forum just in case anybody else searches for "mp3" wondering why they can’t upload.

It works here with no problems. Also a standard MODx 0.9.1 install and I also never edited the allowed filetypes setting.
So you can upload MP3s? I wonder if it’s an issue with my version of PHP or something. Anybody else out there have problems (or successes) uploading MP3s?
In the older versions I had to edit the same file to get it to work
did not try it with the latest version yet.
please
I’d like to know if this is a bug or not? I’m having identical issues with MP3 and ppt extensions

Sounds like a bug indeed. Please file your server config with the bug report. Thanks!

Looks like it’s already a known bug, but I’ve run into the same thing when trying to upload "odt" docs. After adding the extension to the list in the admin>sys config>misc settings area, i’m still not able to upload or see odt files i’ve placed directly in the "files" folder.

I think Garry just fixed it today (at least, that’s what the bugtracker is saying), so hopefully it’ll be fixed in the 0.9.5 final release.
