      Cool - just what I needed - If you’re able to fix the German Umlaut problem, it’s even better.

        You’ll have to clue me in on the "German Umlaut problem". Not being German, I was unaware that they were having problems with their Umlauts grin Seriously, though, if you have an example, I’ll take a look.

          thank you in advance for having a look at the problem - here is the page: http://trade.ch/p46.html - this is not shown correctly: "Führerschaft" - it just shows a blank instead where the "ü" is.

          hope you’re able to fix the problem.

          thanks again - let me know if you need anything else

            Not sure if you resolved this but the ü works fine for me (FF, OSX).

              Umlauts are correct here as well (IE6, FF2 / Win)

                this is the whole meta tag I get:

                <meta name="description" content="Willkommen auf den Internetseiten der Trade.ch. Es freut uns, dass Sie uns besuchen. Wir sind ein aufstrebendes Unternehmen im Finanzdienstleistungsbereich. Technologische F hrerschaft und ..." />

                the umlaut is missing in "Führerschaft", right at the end of the description.

                IE7 and Firefox as well as Opera with all the same result

                  The only meta tags I see are:

                  <meta name="verify-v1" content="G2szYBNky/T9CeNlLh0RpJmTupcwvuCpjn0ccAkcWVc=" />
                  <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />

                  @ http://trade.ch/p46.html

                  You’re mixing UTF-8 and &uuml; stuff in the HTML though.
                  Either use &ouml; etc. + ISO-8859-1, or äàöü etc. + UTF-8.

                    sorry, but I don’t understand what you mean - this is what I have in tinymce: <p>
                    Wir sind ein aufstrebendes Unternehmen im Finanzdienstleistungsbereich. Technologische F&uuml;hrerschaft und innovatives Marketing sind die Grundlagen unseres Erfolgs.
                    </p>
                    However, I’m not sure whether you’re right on this one - even if I edit text in Dreamweaver, ü’s get converted to &uuml; Nevertheless, it seems that putting tinymce Entity Encoding to raw seems to solve the issue.

                      In the file assets/plugins/tinymce2111/tinymce.functions.php at line 147,
                      change
                      $tinymceInit .= "		  entity_encoding : \"".$entity_encoding."\",\n";

                      to:
                      $tinymceInit .= "		  entity_encoding : \"raw\",\n";
