Hmm, this doesn’t work here. I installed it more than once in the past, and it always worked wonderfully, but with this modx version (0.9.6 - rev 2767) + latest HE plugin version: nada. No [*content*] tag anywhere in the tpl, but the default content field still shows...

This is getting even stranger: Whenever i tick the OnDocFormRender checkbox and save the plugin, the system events aren’t actually saved. When I edit the plugin again, the checkbox is NOT checked. No wonder the plugin doesn’t work. But why can’t I change the plugin configuration? I’m admin 1, not a dumbed-down manager-user @ this site... o_O
No JS errors either. Using latest Firefox here, if that matters (FF 3.0.5).

Hi ganeshXL
did you tried the mootools version or the jquery one?

Not sure what the problem is.
The version you are using is the mootools one which works for me. I have 0.9.6.3 RC2 and 0.9.6.3. In my opinion it should work for 0.9.6.2 too.
Do you have ManagerManager installed?
Also try a previous version. Might work for you.
What about the <php tags of the snippet? Are they correct?
If you say you cannot check the OnDocFormRender that it might be a Modx problem not a HideEditor one.

Yeah, that’s what I thought too.
Another oddity is that when I want to create a new TV, I have to enter a zero into the "sort order" field, otherwise I get a $rs not saved error msg... Guess I have to sort it out elsewhere and try Hide Editor again after fixing the general modx issues...

I must have missed something.
The instructions say to "copy and paste"
But where do I paste?
Cheers

It’s a plugin. So you have to create a new plugin.
Go to Resources/Manage Resources/Plugins

I did, it did not work on the old version, but works beautifully on the new installation!

I also want to thank you for this plugin!
I was already starting to get angry, when i coudn’t disable the editor for some pages.
