Logout not working for Login snippet

I’ve successfully set up some protected pages on my site. On trying to access them, I get redirected to my Login page. When I log in, I see the page. Hooray! Trouble is, I can never log out of the front end. I can re-access the login page, I see a logout link, but the protected pages are still visible. What coudl I be doing wrong.

And remember that the logout link is a link to your Login page. You can construct a link that is safe to use with friendly or CGI urls like this:



(where 1 is the page id of your login page).

Same problem here :-/ The Login works and [[!Login]] shows me the Logout-Link (with ?service=logout). When I click on the logout link, I get redirected to the referring page, however I'm still logged in...

It works!
My mistake was, that the page with Login snippet was not permitted for Member users. After page become available to them - logout with Weblink is working!

I'm having all sorts of problems with this too.

Can I ask Anton, how did you log in if the login page was permitted for Member users? If I do this then I cannot see the page when not logged in. I'm going in circles!

If you remove the Login page from any Resources Groups it will be visible to everyone, which I think is what you want.

If you need it in a Resource Group to protect it in the Manager, just make sure that there are no Resource Group Access ACL entries for that Resource Group with a context of 'web' or any other front-end context.

Cheers Bob. Turned out that a lot of my issues were due caching in Chrome. Damn hard to clear the cache, but going from work to home and opening the web page on a different computer works well!

Yes, the Chrome cache can be a real PITA.
