As part of a site I’m building with a blog I’d love to not require a user to have two different places to login. On the demo Add-A-Blog-Entry page I’d like them to be able to use that without logging in to the frontend if they are already logged into the backend/manager. I can’t seem to find how to integrate those while still keeping the frontend from locked from public. Am I missing something simple?

There’s an add-on for simultaneous logins, but I can never remember what it’s called and it’s hard to find without knowing the name.
We can have a race to see who posts the answer first (I’m making a mental bet right now).

I’d say construct the editor role for one method... not both front-end and back-end.

If your editors can use back-end see ManagerManager. For front-end see NewsManager/Editor which
also let you edit and delete docs.

You can create a snippet that checks to see if the user is logged in as manager + role and if not redirect to login page. You can then create a checkbox TV to toggle the snippet on/off in order to select the documents you want to protect. This way you only need a manager user.

No, I haven’t really used this plugin -->

I was just curious if that was the plugin BobRay referred to.

We can have a race...
I think web2manager is something else and good if you one day want one of your web users to be upgraded to a manager user!
Sorry for that.
