Profile form not editing fields

Has anyone else seen this error.

If I use the following call:

[!WebLoginPE? &type=`profile` &customFields=`title,name1,name2,address1,address2,address3,worktel,mydev_ids,mystyle_ids,myfeature_ids,mydreamroom_ids` &inputHandler=`Title:userTitle:title:select:Mr(mr),Miss(miss),Ms(ms),Mrs(mrs),Dr(dr)` &profileTpl=`defaultProfileTpl`!]

My form is updating fine, but I would like to use the &type=`simple` to keep everything on one page, but when I use:

[!WebLoginPE? &type=`simple` &groups=`Registered Users` &customFields=`title,name1,name2,address1,address2,address3,worktel,mydev_ids,mystyle_ids,myfeature_ids,mydreamroom_ids` &inputHandler=`Title:userTitle:title:select:Mr(mr),Miss(miss),Ms(ms),Mrs(mrs),Dr(dr)` &regRequired=`name1,name2,address1,zip,email` &registerTpl=`defaultRegisterInstantFormTpl` &profileTpl=`defaultProfileTpl`!]

The registration and login forms work fine but the profile form does not update any fields?
