notify email and custom fields problem

I wanted to create a custom field and include that custom field in the notify email, but each time the email arrived the code ([+post.childname+]) was displayed rather than the value. The custom field was ’childname’ and I used both [+post.childname+] and [+view.childname+] in the template. Couldn’t find any solution, so in the end just frigged it using another field, in this case the state field, and using [+post.state+].

Works, but rather unsatisfactory. I see from trawling through the winloginpe forum that others have had similar issues with custom fields but haven’t had any answers.

I can’t get any custom fields to show up in the notification email either. It just posts the actual code instead.

I did create a thread on this and no-one could solve the problem.

WebloginPE appears to be dead now.

webloginpe is dead? What’s replaced it?
