I have MODx 0.9.6.3 running with WebloginPE 1.3.1 can I safely upgrade to Evolution 1.0.0?

I’ve found nothing in WebLoginPE that is bothered by the upgrade.
Make sure you have a full backup (filesystem as well as database) before upgrading, however. There is always a chance that something has been changed that will cause you a problem and you’ll need to go back to the original, but that’s just basic good practice.

But backup the site -> make copies -> install a copy and upgrade it on a local server (
not PHP 5.3.0!)
No problems - upgrade live and if problems later you have
backup.
