I am using WebloginPE on my website, and it does a pretty good job. I have recently been tasked with "streamlining" our registration process though. To do this, I need to do a couple of things.
1) Change the email sent to the user.
We want to have the user to be able to specify their own password, but still get a "verification code" they have to enter so we know they come from a real email address. My question is, "Is there a way other than rewriting the default email file(s) to do this?"
2) Change how a user registers (a little).
We want the user to be able to "verify" themselves in a couple of ways. First, they will be sent a code that is their verification code. They then go to the web site and log in, are taken to the verification page (if they have not already verified), and fill in the code. Second, they will be sent a link to click to automatically register them and then offer access to their member pages. I have some approaches to doing this, but was wondering if anyone out there had tried this sort of scheme and whether there was some handy-dandy code already available.
