[SOLVED] Manage button disappears with webloginpe

Hi,

I need help with a problem I have with webloginPE and maxigallery. I have my gallery call to allow a webuser to manage a gallery, using a snippet to set the users name up with the manage button gallery. I have the snippet running on it’s own out with the maxigallery call and it show the users name correctly so the user name snippet works.

The issue with webloginPE is if I go to my profile page and click save it’s causing the manage gallery button to disappear even if I haven’t changed any fields. I have to then sign out and sign back in for the button to reappear.

What could webloginPE change to cause the manage button to disappear? The user name snippet still shows the web users name so the snippet is still functioning so I have no idea why the manage button disappears. It’s like something is changing on the webloginPE save that is telling modX that the user is not the gallery admin.

I don’t know where to post this so I thought it seems more like a webloginPE issue.

I’m using the latest version of modx 9.6 and the latest webloginPE as released by soshite.

Anyone got an idea what could be causing this??? I have tested this out and it happens on 3 of my sites and each has the same problem.

I just found out something interesting about signing in to MODx using webloginPE and how maxigallery treats the user name. I signed in to a test account using rossco and the maxigallery button appears fine, I signed in again using RoSsCo and the button did not appear, yet the username that is signed in still display rossco as this is the case that the name was saved as.

How can I force people to sign in using the exact case someone signed up with so I can stop this error?

I have noticed that using the personalize snippet throws up issues as well... I have a contact form that will only appear if you are logged in.  When on the page, the form is there; once I go and save my profile and return, it’s gone even though webloginPE says I am still signed in. 

Surely someone must be getting some of these issues or able to help?  :’(
