when use taconite, nothing apears

I get the same thing AHHP. Everything works great with webloginpe when I use it normally, but I’d really like to get it working with ajax.
The documentation is great, but I don’t see anywhere a simple example of how to get it to work with taconite.

I looked through the xml files included in the "taconite xml examples" folder included with the distribution and I think I understand the idea. But I’m not sure what else needs to be done when calling with

I am looking for solution too. Everything works great with standard calls. But I wanted to try ajax version and nthing happens. JQuery loads nicely, but that’s all...

I swore I remember Scotty having issues with the AJAX options (which I think involved Taconite). I’ve never used that option, so I wouldn’t know how to solve your issue. x_x

I’ll bump this thread... because I too experience the same problem.

My guess is, that it has somthing to do with either the path to the taconite.js file, or perhaps we need to manually set up the link to the js-files in our templates.... ?

Could somebody with a working webloginpe-snippet in `taconite`-mode, please write if they have done anything "special" (besides the standard install stuff) to make it work.

With all due respect to Scotty, this very important snippet has been abandoned without being finished. It is a real shame, because out of all the snippets, WLPE has the most potential. It could turn modX into a social network, not to mention so many other possibilities.

However it seems to be one of the very few snippets that was never fully completed. All the other important ones I have used have been completed and supported.

It just means that we need to figure it all out ourselves. This snippet has so many bugs it is daunting, but with good people like Soshite, maybe we can make something out of this poor snippet.

I’ve been helluva busy w/ IRL + website stuff, but I’m gonna try my darndest to fix the known issues from the BETA 3 build.

Although, since I don’t know that much PHP, there’s some unresolved bugs I don’t have the slightest clue how to fix. But having a lot of the bugs fixed, and only a few outstanding ones is better than what we have in the 1.3.0 release.

(IIRC, I think Scotty’s focusing on TreasureChest2 ATM. I would agree that WLPE’s essentially been abandoned --- I dunno what changes he was making in his 1.4.0 code he was working on, although at the time TC1 was released, it was for-profit, so I can understand why he was focusing on that more back then.)

I came back to this topic and tried taconite. It can work, you know After finishing actual project I will get back to it and post a little howto
