How to get interaction between WLPE and the website?

I’d like to incorporate WLPE into the website I am currently building, but I am not sure how to get it ti interact with other features of the website.

For example, is there a way to make it so that only people who have registered with WLPE can leave comments on a page with Jot?

I want to make my website free to view without having to register. But I want to enable extra features on those same pages for people who have registered.

That’s easy. Just have your users go into a specific usergroup (like Web Users). Then restrict Jot to only allow that group to post.

Excellent, thanks! Would this be the same for things like user web galleries with snippets such as MaxiGallery too? Sorry for the simplistic questions. I haven’t really played with multi-user websites before.

The other question I have is with regard to the User Profile photos. With WLPE do they get put into a publically accessible folder? If they do is there a way to restrict access so that someone couldn’t just type a URL and see them?

If they have a restriction option, then yes. If not, you’ll have to ask the author of that script.

It puts them into the WLPE folder, although I forget the folder name. You’d have to use htaccess or the like to restrict that folder from being viewed.
