I’m about to build a site which relies on user management and authentication. So naturally my thoughts are to use this snippet. The extra functionality it offers will be usefull.

My question is this - there seem to be a number of bugs reported so I’m wondering if this snippet is really stable for a production site? are there alternatives that should be preferred? If most of the bugs are minor are there any that I should really be aware of before starting?

    thanks

Well, except one bug I got all handled for my project. But something is very important: List all features you need and take a closer look if they can be solved with webloginPE. WebloginPE is a young project, so not every functionality is implemented (e.g. "standard" features like paging on user lists, "special features" like birthday lists with "next 10 birthdays" and so on).

      • Depends on what you want to do with it.

As has been mentioned this is a "young" snippet, but extremely powerful and versatile.

I am using it as basis for integrating four different databases combining user info from MODx and internal databases, with very little problems.

As far as the errors go I uploaded a "unofficial 1.31" with most of the bug fixes up to a couple weeks ago. That should give you a good start on the script.
