I have quite common question here! I have as many of us few users, first one is me - admin, second user is moderator who has limited system permission. I can do everything I want with the flexibility of MODx CMS, but I can not find out how to change system settings according to user. I wanna change filemanager_path and filemanager_url to moderator user, therefore moderator won’t be able to see all system files. Course there is a way to do it. Go to User Management click to moderator, then click on Settings and enter desired key you wanna change. I’ve done it and NOTHING WORKS. Looks like this value doesn’t overwrite system value as it should! Any ideas?
If I change this value in system settings (ex: assets/files) - it works fine.
I’m not sure, but I think that’s a bug that has been fixed in 2.1 (2.1-pl should be out soon).
