I’m confused... I understand that there’s an old version of the Personalize Snippet (for Evo I think), but there’s also 2 versions available in the Revo package manager: one by splittingred (version 2.1-beta1), and one by bobray (3.2.1-beta1). Should both of those be showing up? I assume that only the more recent one is applicable, but for the docs (specifically this tutorial I’m writing: http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/Login.Request+Membership), I’d like to make sure.
Thanks for clarifying!
TBH, I didn’t know about Shaun’s version.
I just looked at the code and the only differences I could find are that my version allows you the option of having the user’s full name used instead of the username in the placeholder and mine is on GitHub. They use the same parameters and do the same thing.
I did notice that when I installed Shaun’s version, Package Manager says there is an update available. I imagine that’s my version.

Ok. Thanks for clarifying. I wonder why your more recent version is showing up as a separate package...

It’s probably my fault. Not knowing about Shaun’s version, I submitted it as a separate package rather than an update.
