Yep, flushed em. Will try flushing again... yeah same thing. Override setting as shown in screenshot seem to have no effect. When logged in with that user I still see the full file tree.
Note: they work as should when set under System Settings.
As for the other part, I can’t yet test that.
EDIT: just reread your post. Yeah, totally right. Bill should be able to set up a TV and Steve should be able to edit it without messing it up...
Say Admin sets up a TV assets/cms/images/test.png
then Steve goes to edit it, I assume "assets/images/test.png" is gonna show up with a missing image icon where a thumbnail should be because of his filemanager settings.
then say Steve edits it and changes the value to images/test.png, which is in fact the same assets/cms/images/test.png thanks to his filemanager_path
but if someone not logged then views the site how does MODx know to write the value using Steve’s filemanager_URL opposed to the value set System wide.
anyway, that’s what I was wondering.

Then, it *might* be related to IIS, since this seems to work properly on a LAMP environment (or i might have missed something, my apologies if that’s the case)
I hope someone running Revo on IIS will confirm/invalidate your problem (bugs.modx.com may also be a good place to look/post that issue too)
Site is on LAMP server. Will try on my localhost...
