I need a plug-in that will have similar functionality to something like facebook. Where each user will have their own home page and their own profile that will change based on what they’ve done or how they’ve changed it. Is this something modx can do?
Personally, I’d look to bolt on a ’proper’ social network rather than try to recreate the functionality in MODx - which it doesn’t have (although you could abstract a Userpage into some form of pseudo-blog, and work from there).
Try running it alongside Elgg. Or I think you can embed elements of a Ning site into any CMS - not sure.

Cost was £40 for lifetime updates and removal of the copyright etc, only had it a couple of days but it’s looking pretty good and theres a lot of things planned for it.
