I have just install evolution version 1.0.4.
The templates were corrupted both for the manger area and the front end. The front end is not important, since I have uploaded my own template, but I cannot edit a page since there are no icons or they are corrupted. Is there a way to fix this?
I used modx-1.0.4, tradional install, using firefox 3.6.13 or Safari. My server info is as follows:-
Server: Localhost via UNIX socket
Server version: 5.1.52
Protocol version: 10
User: poolsbc@localhost
MySQL charset: UTF-8 Unicode (utf8)
Web server
cpsrvd 11.28.64
MySQL client version: 5.1.52
PHP extension: mysql
Help
First, try an upgrade install. Make sure not to install the sample site or any snippets or plugins.
If that doesn’t work, one or more files was corrupted during transfer. I’d re-download and re-upload the new files.
Another possibility, if you used FTP, is that the FTP program didn’t overwrite some existing files when you uploaded the new files.
Thank you for your prompt reply!
Will I lose everything I have done so far? ( I know it should be in the database.)
Thanks,
Liz
No, it should be untouched (though you should have backed up the whole site before upgrading -- always a good idea).
Thank you Bob - I have backed it up.
I love your tutorials and have worked through them all ( for evolution).

I always install the BkupMODx module immediately after every new MODx installation. It works fine as-is in stand-alone mode for Revo as well.
