SOLUTION: - replaced the corrupt file \manager\processors\save_user.processor.php (it was zero bytes)
THANK YOU to mconsidine (Matt) for pm’ing many times to help me find this! Made my day, week and month - i’m about to put up my 3rd MODx site, this time using Revolution!Version 1.0.2
Original post below:
Two different behaviours.
On my local site:
- login via the Manager Login screen
- select Security tab, Manager Users
- enter the new user info and click Save
- the user is not created
- error messaging doesn’t seem to work, for example i get no error message even if i leave the email blank.
On the same remote site:
- login via the Manager Login screen
- select Security tab, Manager Users - this bumps me back to the MODx Manager login screen
Thank you in advance!
Steve

Do you have PHP error reporting enabled? Which PHP versions are in use?
Local Configuration
• PHP: 5.3.1
• MySQL Server version: 5.1.41
• MySQL Client version 5.1.41
• Error_reporting 22519 (local value and master value)
Remote configuration
• phpMyAdmin - 2.11.10
• MySQL client version: 5.0.89
BUT - the issue is with this MODx site only. I have another site (local and remote) that does not have the problem.

Did you check your .htaccess file? What’s different about this particular MODx site?
Hey Everett,
I really appreciate your taking the time to help me.
I’m not using the .htaccess files on the local sites.
Per your suggestion i’m trying to isolate what the differences between the working and non-working sites.
Thanks,
Steve

Have you tried installing MODx 1.0.4?
You mentioned that you have other MODx sites on this server that are working, so I was wondering what’s different about this particular MODx site...
I have this exact same problem.
I do want to upgrade from 1.0.2 to 1.0.4 when i get a minute.
I can’t see any differences between the site that works and the one that doesn’t.
I suspect there is a bug in the security software that has trashed the database somehow.
