    Hi,

I’m just looking into the possibility of the following scenario and whether it is a viable scenario...

I want to be able to add columns to display for web users in the manager. I have attached a mock up of how i’d like it to look. So I would have an extra column to display ’last logged in’, one for ’date of registration’ and another to say which group the user belongs to. Web users could belong to more than one group (4 in total) also...which could complicate things...maybe there would have to be ’group1’, ’group2’, ’group3’ and ’group4’ which could cause space issues.

There would also be the requirement to set the username to be an email address too.

    is this possible?
Would it then be possible to have an export option? to excel?

    Thanks

    Janice

Your imagination (and programming skills) are the limit.

I’m not completely sure how easy it will be to adjust the webusers field, I don’t think there’s a specific system event for that.... but I’m sure Susan will pop in soon to give you a final answer.

Actually due to the way the manager works there is no event to do something like that. The ManagerManager plugin uses extensive Javascript and AJAX to make changes to the forms in the browser. If your JQuery and AJAX skills are strong enough you can do anything you want with it.

While the OnWUsrFormPrerender allows you to do things before the form is echo’ed, and the OnWUsrFormRender allows you to do stuff after the form is echo’ed, there’s really nothing you can do to the form itself.

The Manager’s action frame uses .php files that are a mix of HTML and PHP together, and the forms are generated and echo’ed bit by bit rather than being generated and gathered up into a variable to be echo’ed, as the document parser does with processing templates and resources. So there is nothing equivalent to the documentObject array or the documentOutput string to work with.

The way I deal with this is to skip the Manager altogether and use WebLoginPE to manage web users.

          Hi,

I think WebLoginPE using custom tables would be the far easier route. I’m doing something similar for a club where I foolishly volunteered to update the website.

If you use WLPE then you can provide that information on the front end and style it just how you want with a couple of templates. I’m setting it up so that any club member that logs in can see a simplified list of users, yet when the membership secretary logs in he can get a more comprehensive list. That way they don’t need to log in to the backend manager to view the user info.

I don’t know if that helps?

          Regards

          Adrian
