Does anyone know how a web user can be set up in the case where they will not have an email address? I realize this may seem a bit unlikely, but I think it could happen.

Is it just a matter of changing the relevant forms to not include this as a required field? Or does the logic at some deeper level really need to have a valid email address available? I can think of plenty of situations where the lack of it would trip up some code. But in the example of a club site - where a member would want their profile available and at the same time editable by themselves - this circumstance could arise.

If anyone has suggestions on how this can be done in a way that doesn’t destablize things - or can outline the reasons why this really shouldn’t be allowed - I’d be grateful. Personally, I can see both sides of the situation.

Again, thanks for the thoughts and patience,
    MattC

I had a recent situation where I needed to create web user’s without email addresses. You need to modify Manager > Processors > save_web_user.processor.php and comment out lines 70-73 under the "verify email".
