I can’t find a solution anywhere, and I don’t even know where to be looking. My client is using version 1.0.1, WebLoginPE, and they are on Windows platform. I don’t think this is a Windows issue. I am also not sure if this is even a WebLoginPE issue. Everything that involved logging in, registering, etc, worked great, then the following started out of the blue.
Basically, if I go to the access permissions tab for a particular resource/page and click the check box for the secured group I created, we get a 500 error when accessing the page. In other words, I can’t secure anything. If I put the check back into the public group, all is well. Plus, the page that I have the login form on, not secured of course, it now serves up a 500 error. In fact, any page that I put the login form on serves up a 500 error.
I am completely lost. Thanks in advance.
I have this problem too.
Fortunately I have only one secured page and it seems the users can access it by first going to the login page then he’s redirected to the secured page.
If a user goes to the secure page even if he’s logged in he get’s the "file/folder protection login pop-up" and no user pass will work.
Maybe the information above will help in debugging your problem.
Thanks for giving it a shot, but my issue is a little different. If I secure a page, I get a 500 error. There is no way of getting around it. Hell, I can’t even get to the login page, because I get a 500 error there too.
I think I had a similar problem as you a while back though. Every time I clicked the link to get to the login page, I got that damn little popup login window the browser generates. And of course, no passwords/usernames worked with it. Also, all my custom error pages were being ignored by IIS.
If I remember correctly, the first thing I had to do was fix my permissions. After that, I had to add redirect rules to the web.config file in root. Now that was all on a Windows platform. If you are on a Windows server, I would head over to the Windows support section of this forum. They have some great mods that know their shit. I am just not convinced that my problem is a Windows issue yet.
I thought I would add the following:
In Firefox, I am getting "The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred".
In IE, I get the standard 500 error message.
I am really beginning to think this is something for the host to deal with.
Can anyone at least tell me if they think this is a Windows issue? Basically, if I click on a link to a secured page, I get a 500 error. If I un-secure the page, everything is fine. There is also NO parse error in the system events tab in the manager. Also, this happened out of nowhere, and my host claims they have made no changes to the server recently.
Ok, I am pretty sure this is a Windows issue of sorts, and I am also pretty sure the host did some work on the server that caused all this crap. I got the login page working. I checked in the manager for parse errors, and I had one basically saying that a certain file couldn’t be found. I went into webloginpe.class.php and replaced the path in question with an absolute path. I ended up having to do this for two different files, but the login page and form work now.
However, I still can’t secure any pages, or I get a 500 error. Also, I don’t get a parse error in the manager, so I am lost atm.
