I’ve created manager users that are supposed to be able to create and edit content in separate branches of MODx. These users are set as Editors (default role). Also the nesessary mapping between doc-groups and manager-groups have been done.

When they login they only see "their" branch (as expected), and they can create content in the branch. But, as soon as that content is created, they can not edit the "body" of the content, only Title, Publish dates, etc. The editor below does not show.

If I then login with the admin account, neither this account can edit these documents (same phenomena = editor does not show). Only thing the admin can do is to delete the content.

This happens at my online site (on Apache on linux). Prior to bringing the site online, I tested MODx on XAMPP package on a windows XP computer. On this XAMPP this phenomena does not exist.

The online MODx is 1.0.1 and my test on XAMPP is 1.0.0. Could this depend on the linux environment, or the 1.0.0 v 1.0.1?

Thanks for any replies in advance!

      Hi smf,

there was a bug concerning manager users with limited roles (maybe this is related to your problem):
      see this thread http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,41461.0.html
a patch is attached to one of the last posts
or maybe upgrade to MODx 1.0.2
