    Hi there,

I hope this is in the correct area. Basically i have a manager user group called Dive Centres, and hey, its for dive centre owners! Now within a subdirectory, we have a list of countries and pages with dive centres in there.

I want to assign a dive centre user to ONLY 1 page. So, the dive centre logs into the manager area and can only modify their page.

I’ve been looking at webloginpe and just the standard manager area and cant get my head around the logic. Basically, if i were to create a new user group for every dive centre, it would become really unmanageable.

Any help would be great, even if its just a push in the right direction smiley

    Thanks!
    André

I wish I knew a solution to this problem. sad

Perhaps I’ll renew this topic. Is there anyone who knows, how to do this? How can a Manager User be allowed to edit only 1 page?

Create document group that consist only one document and assign it to your user.

          Not working as I need.

The problem is when I create a document group, and set a page to belong to this group, the page is not visible on my site.

My problem is as follows. Let’s assume I have a site with only two pages: Home Page, and AboutMyPerson page. When an anonymous person come to this site, he/she should be able to view both pages. I have also two manager users: "admin" (the site admin), and "owner". The problem is, how to allow "owner" to edit *only* the AboutMyPerson" page, and not to do *anything* else?

The problem is the *role* of the manager user: Editor is able to edit *any* page. When I log in to the manager as "owner", I’m an Editor, and thus I’m able to edit *any* page, not only the AboutMyPerson page.

Actually not. I has multisite with 5 subsites and many editors on it. So one editor may edit (and view in manager) only pages of his own site. But web-users can see all 5 sites.

So, try to make 2 doc groups each one for two pages. group: admin_doc_group (Home Page) owner_doc_group (AboutMyPerson). Then create two user groups each for two users assign admin_users_group (admin) and owners_user_group (owner). Then link admin_doc_group with admin_users_group and owner_doc_group with owners_user_group in Security -> Manager Permissions -> User/Resource Group links.

That’s all. Also you can add owner_doc_group to admin_users_group permission.
