ManagerUser can't see preview of a page that is assigned to a webuser/doc-group

Hi everybody,

i’m working on a site that needs some pages to be visible just to a certain webuser/document group. so far so good
-> the problem is now, that i’m not able to see the preview of those pages (as a manager) that are assigned to the user/document group...i just see the weblogin/access denied page. if i want to see the page from the frontend (or as a preview from the backend), i need to "unlock" the document and assign it to "All Document Groups (Public)"

shouldn’t i actually be able to see protected pages as a logged in manager-user?

i know there was a recent post about this problem somewhere in the forum (can’t find it anymore )...but i’m not sure if it provided any solutions?

does anyone know how to solve this?

I have the same problem, detailed in another thread. Unfortunately no help has been forthcomming.

It seems very odd that the admin (id1) cannot access these pages.

someone else must have the same problem surely?
