hellow,
i have created a manager user.
When this user login, he may only see 1 document in the document tree.
This document is a ditto-document so that he can add, edit and delete children documents here.
But he isn’t allowed to ad, ... new documents somewhere else.
How can i do this?
Thanks
add documents to "document groups" and assign documents to them. LOL!
Tryin again:
CREATE "document groups" and assign documents to them.
Then connect your manager-users to these document groups.
Documents set public can be edited by everyone.
i can’t get it fixed. here is the situation:
this is my site:
- welcome
- announces (with ditto)
- our office
- our services
- contact
the administrator is ’Tom’ (this is me). Another manager user is ’VVHP’.
Tom may change every page, ...
VVHP may only add, delete, edit, ... announces in the announce document
i have set 2 document groups: 1. Site Admin - 2. Announces
At the moment i have set access permissions as followed:
Document welcome, our office, our services, contact = Site admin
Document announces = Announces
I also have a role ’editor’
I hope you understand my example.
I want that Tom has access to every page and VVHP only to announces
hellow,
i think i know what the problem was.
i found it at the wiki-pages: A document in a document group that is not connected to a user group is open for everyone
i hadn’t connected the other pages to a document group, so it was available for everyone
thanks for the good links
Glad u got it sorted!!
hi deminne,
can you explain how do you solved your problem?
i got the same problem.
I have connected the document to spesified user group, but the document dosn’t show in the menu (using wayfinder)..
have you ticked the checkbox ’show in menu’
Yes. I had checked thats.
then you had just to do what in this topic is explained and it should work
otherwhise i can’t explain it if i can’t see it, sorry.
you can give me access to the manager-panel with an other manager-user, i look for the problem and after that, you delete the manager-user
you can give me a pm if you want
