Hello. Im sure this question has been answered all over but I dont have the time to search for an answer. I was hoping to get some feedback through this post. Anyways, my company has a separate domain reserved for an employee portal website. I was wondering how I would go about protecting this with a password. Ive seen most searches on google saying i need to create a .htpasswrd file and others. Can anyone walk me step be step through this process? I would appreciate any help. Also, does modx have anything like a template variable for this to make it easy? Please advise, thanks!
    • You shuold create a Document group and Put your protected docs in created document groups, then create a Web group. if you assign created Webgroup to created Docgroup, Only members of this web group can see protected pages. at last when create a user, assign it as created webgroup.

      summary,
      1. docgroup: My Document group (members: doc1, doc2, ...)
      2. webgroup: My Web group (members: user1, user2,...)
      3. Only My Web group members can see My Document group members
