Tracking System - snippet question

Our client is requesting a tracking system for their company and it’s outlined below. I haven’t implemented anything for web users in MODx and would certainly appreciate any direction or pointers for getting this process started. Is WebLoginPE going to be the cat’s meow for this one and/or something else?

(I realize that we will need to setup an hourly Cron job to check current profile status and both update that status and send emails.)

1. User submits form (creates profile) on website.
2. User receives email "Thank You."
3. Admin receives postal package from user and updates user profile. Email sent to the user.
4. X hours later, profile status updated and Process 3 email sent.
5. X hours later, profile status updated and Process 4 email sent.
6. X hours later, profile status updated and Process 5 email sent.
7. X days later, follow up email sent.
