More than 2 years i am a satisfied users of Etomite, until last week I ended up on the site of ModX. The features looked really good and therfore I decided to try this system. I made a copy of my website (at present running on Etomite 0.6.1. R.T.M.) and upgraded that copy to the latest version of ModX. In a few minutes the upgrade was complete and everything was functional (except for one snippet that, after a slight modification, also worked fine).

After this test, before I upgrade the actual website to ModX, i still have a few questions:

    • Is it possible to integrate (by means of a module) a phpbb-forum?
    • I would like to have an event calender on my site, so registered users kan place upcoming events, and change or delete their own events, but not those of other users.

I hope this topic is in the right subforum. If not, please forgive me! embarrassed

    Thanks!

        1) SMF forums Module is coming soon

Due to a number of reasons, I’m currently evaluating ModX for usage, and so far I love what I see. I am interested in SMF integration and it looks like you’re well on your way to getting this setup. I tried installing the snippet from http://modxcms.com/Snippet-Time.html for SMF integration and Im getting errors (though honestly I dont know that I’m doing it 100% correctly either)

        error looks like this:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /www/floodmylife.net/subdomains/modx/manager/includes/document.parser.class.inc.php(691) : eval()'d code on line 161

If you need some help testing this out or would like feedback on my error let me know.
Good work on everything so far.
