I am going through the installation process and have gotten to the last step and got this error message:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ’-techs_modx.`modx_site_htmlsnippets` (name,description,snippet) VALUES(’WebLogin’ at line 1
My database name is mc-techs_modx not -techs_modx. during the install the database was being setup right.
Any help for this?

Databases with dashes in their name always seem to cause problems. I’m not sure there’s a workaround other than changing the DB name.
