    Hello
I’m having trouble working with CSS and the default [DROPMENU] snippet.
I’m sure that a lot of members of this community would like to know how to integrate CSS with the DROPMENU feature MODx uses.

For some reason I’m having trouble targeting the HTML written by DROPMENU with my imported style sheet into the TEMPLATE

    [[DropMenu? &menuName=`myMenu` &levelLimit=`0` &topdiv=`false` &subnavClass=`nestedLinks`]]

Could someone please let me know what classes to use/targt and I would dearly appreciate the default DROPMENU code snippet because through playing and trying to work it out I’ve changed various settings (I’m sorry I didn’t take a backup!!!! by hey! who doesn’t make that mistake?) I’m no PHP guru either.

My menu is a simple ul menu, it’s horizontal, there are no submenus at all.

    For an example please visit:

    http://www.writeup.com.au

This is the first site I’ll be using MODx on for my clients and I ant dropmenu to pull off what I have in the example above.

You’ll understand what it is I ant to achieve.

This is a basic work in progress page.

MODx is great by the way, I love it and will promote it use as I can.

    Regards
    Richard

A good way to figure out how to style the list is "View source" in your browser. Then you can see exactly what ID’s and CLASSes DropMenu is assigning to your various #My menu li, #My menu li s, #My menu li.here, #My menu ul ul, etc... Take those to your style sheet and style them. To quote Susan from a previous post (Yes, this topic has been covered before, several times, dont’ fear the "Search" box up at the top. lol!) The output from the [[DropMenu]] Snippet is "Just begging to be styled"

100% agree with you David. I have been using this plug-in for quite some time now, and I find it to be one of the most useful develoment tools I have in my arsenal, especially useful if, like me, you use XHTML 1.1 and CSS for complete separation of style and content. Thanks for posting that link David!
