What you’re describing seems impossible. wink

All MODX does is replace the snippet tag with the what is returned from the snippet. There’s no way I know of that that could affect anything else on the page.

Is this really your entire main template?

    [[$site_header]]
    [[*content]]
    [[$site_footer]]

It needs to have a DOCTYPE, <html>, <head>, and <body> tags at a minimum.

If that’s not it, I’m guessing that when you combine the template, header and footer, the HTML is not valid. Check it here: http://validator.w3.org/

      Hi!

Yes that’s my main template, obviously [[$site_header]] contains DOCTYPE, <html>, <head>, and <body> tags. I assume there’re errors somewhere in the code, I’m checking it. Thanks for the reply. Right now I started a new template and tested the tutorial process. It works as expectes, so I had placed something wrong. I’m building it from the ground up again with a working blog system to see why my first template failed to load the calls. I’ll post when I find that error. Thank you very much!
For those trying to implement boilerplate, there was an error in the smooth-graphics modx-boilerplate header files wich I noticed to smooth-graphics. https://github.com/smooth-graphics/modx-boilerplate/issues/22#issue/22
