using getresources as latest news/ latest posts display won't work

Hi my website is here: http://shepherdbeamish.co.uk/

I have tried to add a latest news section using getresources with this snippet call: [[!getResources? &parents=`5` &tpl=`myRowTpl`]]

Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but as you an see I just get a lot of strange code/variables displaying and not a summary of the docs in the folder I want to display...

Include this in your snippet call. That should fix your problem.

Hi I’ve added that in so I now have:

[[!getResources? &parents=`5` &includeContent=`1` &tpl=`myRowTpl`]]

Are you accessing TV’s in your chunk template?

are you sure there is a chunk with name ’myRowTpl’

ah when reading the guide i thought the variables you added in controlled the output, i didn’t realise you had to create your own chunks. I don’t have a chunk, what would it need to contain for a simple news output with the heading of the doc, the content and the date type of thing? Thanks for help.
