I have a property set for getResources and whenever I try to use [[*id]] in the parents property I get no output. If I change it to a specific resource number it will work.

Does anyone else have this problem on v1.2.2-pl?

I could be wrong, but I don’t think tags in properties are parsed. They are just passed as strings to the snippet.

In any case, you can just put &parents=`[[*id]]` in the snippet tag and that will override the property set setting.

And if it is passed as a string it should create essentially the same thing as using a full call on the page, right?

i.e. having a full call with &parents=`[[*id]]` on the page should be the same as putting [[*id]] beside the parents property in the property set.

So the question is, what is happening instead because it appears the snippet just doesn’t load at all. I’m not sure how the debug feature works, but turning that on doesn’t seem to give any more info.

No, it’s passed directly to the snippet as a PHP variable. It never visits the parser. They could, theoretically, be parsed during that process, but they’re not.
