Truncate output

I know there’s a way to limit the number of resources that getResources will output onto a page. But If I only want an intro of each resource is there a way to truncate at about 200 characters? Thanks

[[+content:limit=`200`]]
or
[[+content:ellipsis=`200`]]

I found it was actually easier / better to pull in the [[+Summary]] field.
My reasoning was that Ditto didn’t like truncating artciles where a table fell within the limit=200 zone.
Took me a while to figure out that one but i’m not having any problems now.
