template variable widget html tag problem

i have a problem to put a htmlgeneric tag for a checkbox because
the tag name is imput and dont have the field type to make a checkbox
any idea?

You should be able to choose "Checkbox" by going to Resources-->Manage Resources-->Template Variables, then edit the TV in question and choose "checkbox" for the "Input Type" -- Radio buttons are easier to work with, however... Checkboxes are weird because they will include the variable name AND a value only if they are checked. If they aren’t checked, they send NO variable name and NO value. They require some extra validation, whereas a radio button ALWAYS sends a value.
