I’ve been playing around with NewsManager for front-end news item management and it looks like it will do what I need.

One thing I noticed, though, was that it does not seem to discriminate between published and previously-published-now-deleted-but-not-yet-purged documents. So everything in the tree shows up, even if it had been deleted. I looked through the code to see if there was a place I could set a flag but nothing was obvious. And looking at the document properties of the deleted documents didn’t reveal a status flag either.

Now the obvious answer is to just purge the tree. But there might be a situation where this is not preferred.

Has anyone else noticed this and found a workaround they could share?
