QuickEdit stopped working

Well I only just noticed that my QuickEdit has stopped working. It appears but I cannot move it or open up the menus or anything. In Firebug it gives an error each time it is clicked, the following:

And the problem is coming from mootools.js...

Anyone know how to fix this?

More information on where, how, and why it just stopped working might help gain you some suggestions. Other than what you’ve told us, which is that there is some kind of Javascript error, I would guess you have added some Javascript to the affected page( s ) that is conflicting with the QuickEdit scripts.

I have never changed any Modx files, only the template files.

The quickedit has stopped working in all pages (seeing as it is from one call). How I don’t know, and why I don’t know.

If your new template or any of the pages you’ve made use includes any Javascript, or possibly even conflicting CSS rules, it can break QuickEdit.

How can I find out if they do?

I’ve had so much difficulty with this I pretty much have to disable quickedit with anything I work on requiring mootools, or at best customize quickedit’s handling of how mootools is loaded. It unfortunately also uses an out of date version, I believe.
