So I’ve been wrecking my brains trying to get jot customized to how i need it. Its an awesome snippet but i need help to get it working to how i need it.
Question One:
How can i format the date of the comments so it displays like youtube has them, ie ’32 mins ago’ or ’1 Day 12 Hours ago’ ect...
Question Two:
All i need in a comment is the poster name (username of the person that left the comment), the date (in the format stated in the first question) and the comment itself.
I need to remove the additional fields in the form like the subject ect.. and just leave the comment textarea. I would also like to pass the username into the snippet manually.
In the site only registered users can post, so i would like to be able to pass the username in the snippet call of jot and then that gets passed on into the database as the username of the person that left the comment eg.
[[Jot? &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`10` &placeholders=`1` &output=`0` &theusername=`'.$username.'` &sortby=`createdon:d`]]
Where the parameter &theusername is the username of the current user which ill pass on dynamically.
